COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION - CHANGINg ATTITUDES TOWARD THE DISABLED
The disabled in Latin America are usually isolated at home or segregated and out-cast from the community and from the church. The families are ostracized as well. So FRIDLA works hard to change the attitudes of the Latin America society, especially by educating the Body of Christ in the Biblical response of loving and caring for persons with disabilities.
By seeking and mobilizing volunteers in local churches, the work of ministry to the disabled continues in the community with the support of Friends of the Disabled Latin America.
Friends of the Disabled Latin America meets with dignitaries, pastoral staff and those with influence in Latin America to increase awareness of the need for changes in these countries.
